Cave Art Centre

The Cave Art Centre is a facility dedicated to the display of artistic collections from the Tito Bustillo cave. Here the visitors can find out when the cave was discovered, who inhabited it and how the rock art is preserved inside it.

You can visit:

 

Individual:

On your own: highly accessible for the individual visitor who will interact with the various exhibition elements. The visitor will be given a booklet to aid the exhibition itinerary. This booklet is available in several languages.

Includes an audioguide (via a mobile app): using a mobile application, visitors can download the tour in several languages: Spanish, English, French and German. The Centre also loans handsets.

Guided tour: lasting 45 minutes approximately. Timetables:

  • From 1st February to 30th June and from 1st September to 31st December 2017: Wednesdays to Fridays, at 17:00 h. Weekends and Bank Holidays, at 13:00 h. and at 17:30 h. There will no visiting service on 29th April at 17:30 h.
  • From 1st July to 31st August 2017: Wednesdays to Sundays and 15th August, at 11:30, 13:00 and 17:30 h. Closed 5th and 6th August.

Guided tour + workshop: it includes visit to the Cave Art Centre and participation in a thematic workshop.

 

Important information to visit the Rupestrian Art Centre

  • The ticket to visit the Rupestrian Art Centre does not include access to the Tito Bustillo Cave.
  • Access to the permanent exhibition is free on Wednesdays. Tickets have to be collected following the same procedures as during paying days; other activities and workshops have the usual cost. Make sure to purchase a ticket for the event you want.
  • Payment for tickets purchased onsite must be made in cash.
  • Pets cannot enter the Cave
  • Photography is allowed inside the Rupestrian Art Centre.
  • To attend workshops, it is necessary to be at the reception desk 15 minutes in advance
  • Smoking is prohibited.
  • Food and drinks are not allowed.
  • Clients with tickets for the Rupestrian Art Centre or the Rupestrian Art Centre and the Tito Bustillo Cave can visit the cave La Cuevona de Ardines without additional cost. Even after purchasing your ticket, there is no guarantee that you will visit la Cuevona. Passes are handed out on a first-come first-serve basis, from the opening of the Centre until all daily slots have been filled.
  • Reduced prices will be applied to those who present a ticket for the Jurassic Museum of Asturias or the Teverga Prehistoric Park.

Various types of visits are offered at the Cave Art Centre. Advance booking is required in all cases (For information and booking, call +34 902 306 600/985 185 860).

Individual: aided by a booklet given out with the admission ticket.
